Managing your money

Get advice on financial issues at our on-campus Student Centres. You can book a session with a student finance adviser or just drop in for a chat.

Internship

The internship will help you to put your learning into practice in a real company. Former students have secured internships at Bosch, Harrods, Rolls-Royce Power Systems AG, Network Rail and Starbucks Coffee Company (UK) Limited.

You are responsible for arranging your placement, pending approval, and our Business School Employability Office will support and guide you through workshops, meetings, briefings, one-to-one appointments and group sessions.

Students are also invited to join mentoring schemes with organisations such as Northern Trust, EY, Barclays and JPMorgan to support their applications for competitive internship opportunities.

Students and employers should be aware that the average annual internship salary in London is £22,992. Internship salaries typically range between £17,000- 20,000 across the UK. Students may choose to take an unpaid internship, a commission-based internship or an internship that pays expenses. The University will not assess an internship based on salary; however, the University encourages students to seek paid opportunities.
