Hire an MBA student
We offer a fully supported free recruitment process and possibility to recruit MBA students at any point in the year for a period of 9-11 months.
You will receive continuous support from the University whilst the student is on placement and possibility to choose from a wide pool of talent and meet your candidates in advance. Our students come from a wide range of backgrounds and will be able to contribute to your organisation in different ways.
Our team offers free of charge consultancy calls to help you find out how to best utilise the MBA talent in your organisation.
How does the internship work?
The University of Greenwich students must undertake a full-time compulsory internship. You will receive full support from our office and hiring an intern comes at no extra cost to your organisation.
What type of roles can the MBA students undertake?
Part of the internship will require to have a managerial element, that can be managing a project, system, or task that the student has responsibility over.
Can you meet the students in advance?
Our university offers speed interviews on campus. If you wish to meet the potential candidates, we can arrange speed interviews both virtually and in person in the Greenwich Maritime Campus.
How much are the MBA Students paid?
We would advise employers to pay the students at least the national minimum wage for their work. However, if your organisation is struggling to hire someone on a full-time basis, there are different options available and our team is committed to work with you to find a suitable one.
What are the next steps?
1. Get an initial consultancy call booked with the MBA Employer Team to find out more about the programme and how an MBA Placement student can fit in your organisation.
2. After the initial conversation, we will advertise the role and can help you in the recruitment process by shortlisting and organising interviews for your organisation.
3. We will support you with the paperwork for the internship and ensure that you have the tools required to get your placement student in place.

For those advising students
We were one of the first universities to offer students the opportunity on their MBA International Business to spend two years combining their studies with a 9 month full-time work placement opportunity. Being a London-based, 24-month programme allows students with no work experience and no business degree background the opportunity to develop their knowledge in business strategy and change management, in the heart of a city with a global business outlook. This makes the course perfect both for recent graduates or students who wish to change their career path. Our strong connections with industry across London and the UK, as well as a dedicated employability team mean students are given huge scope to find placements that best suit their career goals. While the majority of students complete their work placements in the UK, the course is flexible to allow this to be completed back in the student’s home country. All students however do receive a two-year integrated visa, to cover both their one year of study, and one year of full-time work placement in the UK. Our representatives can apply directly via our agent portal ‘VAS’ allowing for a quick turnaround in applications. With multiple intakes and a competitive fee for a two year programme in London, this is why the MBA International Business has been and continues to be our most popular programme amongst both our international students and our representatives alike for years.
