From government loans to our scholarships and bursaries, there’s plenty of support to help you cover the costs of postgraduate study.
A quick note: we don’t have funding information for 2024/25 entry yet, so the figures quoted may change.
Postgraduate loans
You may be eligible for a Master’s or Doctoral Loan to help pay for your studies. These government loans are paid directly to you and are not means tested.
Scholarships and bursaries
Our awards include an Alumni Postgraduate Award of £1,000, an EU Bursary worth £2,500, and an International Scholarship Award of up to £3,000. Our Commuter Bursary is worth up to £1,000 per year. The figures quoted are for entry in 2023/24, so may change.
Research studentships
Our postgraduate research scholarships and studentships include funding for fees, living expenses or both.
Research council funding
You may be able to finance your research degree with a grant from one of the UK’s Research Councils. The grant may cover some or all of your tuition fees, living costs or expenses related to your course.
