Ask Alumni+ mentoring
Hundreds of Greenwich students sign up to Ask Alumni+ every year to learn from established professionals. Ask Alumni+ is the official home for mentoring at the University of Greenwich, meaning alumni only need to apply once and can then manage their mentoring relationship in the same place, updating their experience and preferences along the way.
Here at Greenwich, the mentoring scheme cuts across all sectors and subjects and is suited to the needs of students and mentors.
Mentors and mentees receive support via workshops, one-to-ones, and regular catch-up sessions with our staff to make sure you're getting the most out of mentoring.
To find out about the mentoring scheme at Greenwich, visit the Employability and Apprenticeship website. Once registered, join the live mentoring community and you will hear from one of our employability colleagues when it is time to match you with a mentee.
➤ Ask Alumni+ is an online community that allows members to broaden networks, share career insights, or develop mentoring relationships with fellow alumni and students.

Celebrating our mentors and mentees
Our Career Mentoring Ceremony took place on 14 June with nearly 200 guests, including our partner and alumni mentors and mentees who came together to celebrate mentoring at the university.
This year we broke records with over 600 mentorships, which we facilitated through Ask Alumni+. We partnered with mentors who work for local, national, and international employers, including Google, Oracle, PwC, Barclays, The Royal College of Psychiatrists, ArcelorMittal and many more.
Upon completion of this year’s programme, we were delighted to hear that the mentors and mentees found the programme worthwhile, with the majority stating they would likely recommend it to others.
For mentees, the top skills that the programme helped improve the most was their CV and cover letter, confidence, communication, career planning and networking skills. The mentoring programme runs from January to June each year, with expressions of interest accepted in September and October.
