Supporter Roll
To all of our supporters, thank you
The University of Greenwich is founded on philanthropy and ambition to remove barriers to education. Our founder, Francis (Frank) Didden, believed that reforming education would improve the lives and prospects of the local poor and fundraised for the country’s second polytechnic, a word which simply means ‘of many arts and techniques’.
Woolwich Polytechnic first opened to students in October 1891 and although we serve a much larger community today, our founder’s ambition runs through everything we do. Your generosity continues this legacy of philanthropy, enabling the University of Greenwich to transform lives through our research and our teaching.
The Supporter Roll recognises your contribution between the 1 August 2023 to 31 July 2024.
We would also like to thank all those who supported the University of Greenwich anonymously. Please contact alumni@gre.ac.uk if your name has appeared incorrectly or if you would like to remain anonymous.
If you're inspired to join our community of supporters, we welcome you. Your gift, no matter the size, carries the power to transform lives.
